The Sachsenring is easily accessible from all directions via the motorway. It’s hard to believe, but within five hours, you can reach the German Grand Prix by car from an incredible 12 European countries!
From Berlin, take the A13 south to Dresden, then take the A4 towards Chemnitz/Nuremberg. After Chemnitz, take exit 65 Wüstenbrand and follow the signs to Sachsenring. This journey takes approximately three hours.
From Hamburg, take the B4 south to Chemnitz. Here take the A7, A2, A14 and A72 motorways in succession. At exit 15-Chemnitz-Süd, take the A72 and follow the Südring to the Sachsenring. The journey takes approximately five hours.
From Munich, take the A9 north to Chemnitz. Here you change from the A9 to the A72. Exit the A72 at exit 15-Chemnitz-Süd. Then take the Südring towards Sachsenring. The journey will take around four hours.
From Leipzig, take the A72 to Chemnitz. Here, take exit 15-Chemnitz-Süd off the A72. Then take the Südring and follow the navigation signs to get to the Sachsenring. From Leipzig, the Sachsenring is only one hour away.
From Dresden, take the A4 west. Exit the A4 at exit 69-Chemnitz-Mitte and follow the B95 to Sachsenring. The journey will take approximately one hour.
There are two ways to choose. The more comfortable but longer route is along the D8 motorway to Dresden, where you turn onto the A4 motorway towards Chemnitz/Nuremberg. The alternative route along the D7 motorway and onwards through the Ore Mountains is more scenic and comparable in time but less comfortable. Most of the time, you are driving on single-lane roads. The journey takes about two and a half hours in both cases.
From Chemnitz, the Sachsenring is just eight minutes away. Head east along Annenstraße towards Brauhausstraße. From Annenstraße, turn right onto Zschopauer Str./B174 and then follow the signs for Sachsenring.
