However, if you don’t mind camping, you can find a place to stay much closer to the circuit. The Ankerberg music festival is traditionally held on the same weekend as the German Grand Prix. This is very close to the track and camping is possible. 

Ankerberg offers the opportunity to combine motoring and music experiences. Last year’s festival featured revivals by rock bands Rammstein and AC/DC. You can also camp right on the circuit if you arrive by motorhome. There is an area behind grandstand T13 at the Sachsen turn. Motorhomes will be able to camp in car park P10 on Goldbachstraße. 

Ankenrberh is undoubtedly a great experience, but expect a wild nightlife. If you really want to relax, look for one of the quiet private campsites in Hohenstein-Ernsttal or nearby villages.
